Cascade is an osu!mania beatmap editor at cascade.sheepex.net, available in the browser and as a Windows app. Both run the same editor and these terms cover both, along with the account, cloud saving and sharing features that go with them. Using Cascade means accepting what is written here. If you do not accept it, do not use the service.

Who may use it

Anyone may use the editor without an account. Creating an account uses osu!'s official login, so you also need to keep to osu!'s own rules. You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you are under the age at which you can agree to terms yourself where you live, use Cascade only with the agreement of a parent or guardian.

Your maps stay yours

The charts, patterns and presets you make in Cascade belong to you. We claim no ownership of them. By uploading a project to the cloud, inviting a collaborator, sharing a link, publishing a pattern or leaving a comment, you give us permission to store that content and show it to the people you shared it with, for as long as you keep it there. That permission exists only so the feature can work, and ends when you delete the content.

What you upload

Audio, background images, videos and skins that go into a project are usually somebody else's work. You are responsible for having the right to use and upload them. Do not upload:

• content you have no right to distribute;
• anything illegal, malicious, or built to attack the service or the people using it;
• harassment, hate speech, or sexual content involving minors, in maps, comments, presets or account details.

We may remove content or close an account that breaks these rules, and we may do so without notice when the content is illegal or dangerous.

The service itself

Cascade is offered as it is, free of charge, with no guarantee that it will be available, that it will be free of bugs, or that anything you store in it will survive. Features may change or be removed. We do our best to keep your data safe, but you should keep your own backups of maps that matter to you: use the export features, and on the Windows app the copies in Documents/Cascade.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost work, lost data, or any other loss arising from using Cascade.

Data stored on your device

Projects, autosaves, imported files and settings are kept on your own device. You can erase all of it at any time from Settings, General, Reset, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. That does not delete your account or anything you have saved to the cloud; for those, see the Privacy Policy.

Ending it

You can stop using Cascade whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account by emailing contact@sheepex.net. We may suspend or close an account that repeatedly breaks these terms.
